International Admission requirement
The minimum Academic requirement to study in Australia is Senior Secondary certificate and IELTS (Academic) test.
INTAKES
In Australia the academic year begins in February/March and June/July, and some Universities have October/November intake as well. Semester dates vary between institutions. Most institutions and universities have two or three semesters.
EDUCATION SYSTEM :
ELICOS (English language course for overseas students) starts throughout the year and its length is 5 weeks to 20 weeks. Foundation course is for those students who do not meet the academic requirement. It begins in February and June and it is One year program.
Vocational Education Training: These institutions are closely linked with various industries. As a result, the courses are very practical and skill-based. Vocational courses are provided at both the government-funded Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institutes as well as private institutions. Many courses provide advanced standing into university degrees.
University level
There are 41 universities in total – 38 public (government funded) and three private.
Undergraduate study level – this includes Diploma leading to bachelor degree or direct Bachelor Degree which is three to four years of length.
Postgraduate study level- this includes Masters degree with the length of 1.5 to 2 years.
